The Curation Project begins as exploration of the elementary; the square, the grid, the aperture and the capacity of simple geometries to undergo perpetual transformation in the hands of time and light. The building is conceived as a surface in dialogue with the sun’s trajectory: objects which register the passage of morning into evening through a series of varying  conditions of depth, texture and density.

The facade operates as an instrument of investigation. Cutouts, screens of geometric latticework and a varying field of layered stucco work collectively to fracture and redistribute the intensity of the Miami sun. Shadow is not an absence but an active material, cast, displaced, and reconstructed across multiple surfaces hour by hour, capturing continual change.

The program is organized across two distinct registers. At grade, a series of enclosed car suites occupies the ground level, spaces conceived not as utilitarian enclosures but as gallery like environments with light and materials that dignify the objects within. The collector's eye is presumed; the architecture responds accordingly. Above, the second level is conceived as a measured retreat: a clubhouse, gymnasium, sauna, and an intimate court for play are arranged under an intricate trellis and distributed between two terraces that mediate between seclusion and sociability.

Architecturally, the project draws inspiration from Arabic geometric patterns, respectfully reinterpreting their intricacy and precision through a contemporary lens, finding  expression that honors its origins while remaining faithful to the singular conditions of its place and its patron.
